-Santa Tegra. Un icono en lo referente al universo galaico tanto histórica, arqueológica como culturalmente. Cuando se habla de celtismo la mayoria de la gente identifica al castro de Santa Tegra como uno de los iconos más representativos.
Este poblado, situado a 341 metros de altura, llegó a acoger a unas 5 000 personas durante su época de mayor esplendor, allá por el siglo I a. C., y era uno de los más grandes del noroeste peninsular. Está formado por viviendas ovaladas en su mayor parte, pero también las hay rectangulares, con esquinas redondeadas, por influencia de los romanos. Aunque os parezca un poblado caótico, hay un orden lógico alrededor de “unidades familiares”, que os podríais animar a descubrir, así como los petróglifos que se encuentran fuera y dentro del recinto.

This town, located 341 meters high, was home to around 5,000 people during its greatest splendor, back in the 1st century BC. C., and it was one of the largest in the northwest of the peninsula. It is made up of oval houses for the most part, but there are also rectangular ones, with rounded corners, due to the influence of the Romans. Although it may seem like a chaotic town, there is a logical order around “family units”, which you might be encouraged to discover, as well as the petroglyphs found outside and inside the enclosure.
