-Amparo fue de Brañavara (Boal, Asturias) donde nació(1917) vivió, murió (1997) y pasó penurias. Amparo López, filla de madre soltera. Fue conocida como la bruxa de Brañavara o la vedoira de Brañavara. Se comunicaba con los muertos y mediaba entre estos y los vivos.
-Caminaba a sola por la sierra La Bobia, sin miedo a los lobos y decían que caminaba con una vela encendida que nunca se apagaba. Podía paralizar a los niños a los animales. Hablaba con el viento y con la naturaleza. La gente de Asturias y de otras provincias (incluso de fuera de España) la visitaban pidiendo que les ayudara con su capacidad nigromante para contactar con sus antepasados y que estos pudieran descansar en paz y dejaran de atormentarlos.
-"Primeiro van a pol ganau e despóis a pola xente" decía ella de los espíritus atormentados que con ella se comunicaban.

-Amparo was from Brañavara (Boal, Asturias) where he was born (1917), lived, died (1997) and suffered hardships. Amparo López, daughter of a single mother. She was known as the witch of Brañavara or the vedoira of Brañavara. She communicated with the dead and mediated between them and the living.
She walked alone through the La Bobia mountain range, without fear of wolves and they said he walked with a lit candle that never went out. He could paralyze children and animals. She spoke with the wind and with nature. People from Asturias and other provinces (even from outside Spain) visited her asking her to help them with her necromancer ability to contact their ancestors and that they could rest in peace and stop tormenting them.
-"First they go to the cattle and then they go to the people" she said of the tormented spirits that communicated with her.
